Why Spend Weeks on a Single Tooth?
Traditional treatment requires separate appointments with an endodontist, your dentist, and a dental lab, often spanning two months or more. Our in-house 3D imaging and same-day crown milling let us complete your root canal and permanent crown in roughly two hours.

Sound Like Your Situation?
Many people live with a damaged tooth longer than they should, often because they assume treatment means multiple appointments and weeks of disruption. It doesn't have to be.
What Happens When You Wait?
Damage Spreads
The crack or break grows larger, affecting more of the tooth structure.
Infection Risk Rises
Exposed inner tooth tissue becomes vulnerable to bacteria, increasing the likelihood of a root canal.
Costs Increase
What a crown can fix today may require more extensive treatment tomorrow.
Sensitivity Worsens
Ongoing discomfort tends to intensify rather than resolve on its own.
Tooth Loss Becomes a Risk
A compromised tooth that goes unprotected can eventually fail entirely.
Fewer Options Remain
The longer you wait, the more limited your restoration choices become.
Addressing a damaged tooth now typically means a simpler, faster path to a healthy, comfortable result.
What Are Same-Day Crowns, and How Do They Work?
A same-day crown is a custom-made dental restoration that covers a damaged, weakened, or broken tooth, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance in a single appointment. Traditional crowns required two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and a second weeks later to place the permanent restoration. Same-day crowns eliminate the wait entirely by using advanced digital technology to design and mill your crown right in the office while you’re still there.
At College Hill Dental Group, we use a CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and milling) system to capture precise digital images of your tooth and produce your restoration from high-quality porcelain. Patients in Easton, PA no longer need to deal with temporary crowns or return visits. The digital workflow gives us accurate fit data and lets us custom-stain each crown for a result that blends naturally with the surrounding teeth.

What to Expect With Same-Day Crown Treatment
Evaluation and Digital Imaging
We begin by examining the tooth and capturing detailed digital images using our intraoral scanner. No goopy impression trays involved. The scan gives us precise data about your tooth's shape and surrounding bite, which becomes the foundation for designing your restoration. You'll be comfortable throughout, and we'll walk you through what we're seeing on screen.
Custom Crown Design
Using the digital scan, we design your crown using advanced software that accounts for the exact contours of your tooth and how it fits with your bite. You'll have the chance to see the design before milling begins. The entire design process takes just a few minutes and happens chairside while you relax.
On-Site Milling
Most offices send crowns to an outside lab and wait weeks. We don't. Using Exocad and our on-site Planmeca mills, Dr. Moghadam and our team design, mill, and hand-finish your crown without it ever leaving the building. Every crown is custom-stained to match your surrounding teeth, which is what makes same-day treatment genuinely possible and why the result looks like a natural tooth rather than typical restorations.
Placement and Final
Fit Once your crown is ready, we check the fit, make any minor adjustments, and bond it securely into place. We'll confirm your bite feels natural and comfortable before you leave. Most patients walk out the same day with a fully restored tooth and no need for a follow-up placement appointment.

What to Expect After a Same-Day Crown
First 24-48 Hours
You may notice mild sensitivity to temperature or slight tenderness around the gumline near the crown. This is completely normal and typically fades within a day or two. Soft foods are a good idea for the first day, and we recommend avoiding very hot or very cold items until any sensitivity settles down. Most patients find this phase much easier than they expected.
First Week
By the end of the first week, the crown should feel natural in your bite. If you notice any high spots when you bite down or persistent discomfort, contact us and we'll make a quick adjustment. Small bite refinements are common and easy to address, usually in just a few minutes.
