Sound Like Your Experience?
You are not alone in this, and you do not have to keep working around it. A straightforward solution may be closer than you think.
What Happens When You Wait?
Teeth Begin to Shift
Neighboring teeth gradually drift toward the gap, affecting alignment and bite.
Bite Changes Compound
An altered bite places uneven pressure on remaining teeth, accelerating wear.
Bone Loss Progresses
The jawbone beneath the gap begins to lose density without a tooth root to stimulate it.
Chewing Strain Increases
Surrounding teeth absorb the extra load, increasing the risk of cracks and fractures.
Treatment Becomes More Complex
The longer the gap remains, the more preparation future restoration may require.
Costs Rise Over Time
Simple gaps that are addressed early often require far less treatment than those left untreated for years.
The earlier you act, the simpler and more predictable the path forward becomes.
What Is a Porcelain Bridge, and How Does It Work?
A dental bridge (a fixed replacement for one or more missing teeth) spans the gap left by a missing tooth by anchoring to the natural teeth on either side. Those anchor teeth, called abutment teeth, are gently shaped to support custom-made crowns. A replacement tooth, called a pontic, is fused between those crowns to fill the space. The entire structure is bonded permanently in place, restoring both the appearance and function of your smile without anything removable.
At College Hill Dental Group, we use digital imaging and same-day CAD/CAM technology to plan and design porcelain bridges for patients in Easton, PA with a level of precision that traditional methods cannot match. Every bridge is custom-designed to fit your bite and color-matched to the surrounding teeth, so the result looks and feels like a natural part of your smile.

What to Expect During Your Bridge Treatment
Exam and Treatment
Planning We start with a thorough evaluation of the gap, your bite, and the health of the anchor teeth. Digital X-rays and intraoral scans give us a precise picture of what we are working with. You will leave this appointment with a clear plan, a timeline, and answers to every question you have.
Preparing the Anchor
Teeth The teeth on either side of the gap are gently shaped to create a stable foundation for the bridge. We use precise digital impressions rather than traditional goopy materials, so the experience is clean and comfortable. If you prefer, sedation options are available to keep you completely at ease throughout this step. A temporary bridge is placed to protect the area while your permanent restoration is crafted.
Designing and Milling
Your Bridge Using our in-office CAD/CAM technology, your custom porcelain bridge is digitally designed and milled to match the exact contours and shade of your natural teeth. Dr. Moghadam hand-finishes and custom-stains each restoration for a result that looks like it was always there.
Final Placement and Fit Check
Your permanent bridge is seated, adjusted for a precise fit, and bonded firmly into place. We check your bite carefully and make any fine adjustments before you leave. Most patients walk out the same day with a fully restored smile and no lingering discomfort.

What to Expect After Porcelain Bridge Placement
First 24-48 Hours
You may notice mild sensitivity around the anchor teeth and a slight awareness of the new restoration as your bite settles in. Soft foods are a good idea for the first day or two. Most patients find any initial sensitivity fades quickly and is easily managed with over-the-counter relief if needed.
First Week
By the end of the first week, the majority of patients are eating, speaking, and going about their routines without giving the bridge much thought. You may continue to notice minor sensitivity near the gum line as the tissue adjusts, but this typically resolves on its own within a few days.
