Smile Stories

Anna's Story

Anna initially came to us with concerns about the appearance of her front four teeth, where old bonding (done by another office) was beginning to break down. During our consultation, she shared her goals and fears, particularly the worry that only enhancing the front teeth could lead to an unnatural look where the surrounding teeth appear recessed or “sunken,” something she had seen in others with incomplete smile makeovers.

Based on her input, we decided to address the front eight teeth to create a harmonious and balanced result. Before any treatment began, we collaborated with our digital designer, sharing photos and intraoral scans to generate a 3D printed wax-up and a trial smile template. This allowed her to preview her potential smile, without altering a single tooth, and feel confident in the path ahead.

On the day of treatment, we coordinated with our remote designer to be on standby. After prepping and scanning, we immediately designed and 3D printed her temporaries right in our office. We used a combination of crowns and veneers, which is common among our patients due to the presence of older, larger restorations. These same-day temps served as a real-time “test drive,” giving us the chance to evaluate aesthetics and function before committing to final restorations. For her final restorations, our designer completed the digital designs, and Dr. Dave hand-finished and custom-stained each restoration using our Planmeca Mills to ensure a lifelike, natural result.

She was thrilled with the outcome.
